Let's wait for a while. Give me time to search. So far I can't find any. Maybe ABC live will post some matches later

What an amazing performce by China at the quarterfinals of the Ningbo tournament. In particular the WS. Unlikely victories by HBJ and Han Yue. HY's game was interesting, she introduced deception ,speed and accuracy in her repertoire, something very difficult to do when you've never had it.
This is a remarkable thing to do.
Its similar to Jonaton Christies's makeover. He has improved his game , cutting out unforced errors and sharpening his power and net play.
The WS and XD also had great performances by China. Lets see whether they can do the same in the semifinals.
The interesting match up for me is the MS. It will be a good one to watch.
Oh, its been a long time since China's WS players has dominated in this manner. I wonder whether home support played a role? Lets hope its the hard work of the coaches and players.

I had mentioned Li Zihhang as a promising youngster before. You all can judge whether he is or not. This is his second loss to ZZJ, both almost in similar ways. The last time was in the 2023 Asian Junior Championship U17 finals.

Looks like China is rich in junior MS talent.

WS doesn't appear to be doing as well. At the recent National Championships - which the National Team skipped - Xu Wenjing was the only junior to make it to the semi-finals. But, on a bright note, Yuan Anqi played. She won her match/matches, and then retired from the tournament for reasons unknown to me. It seems, she said in an interview that she has recovered well from her serious knee injury of 2022, which required surgery and lengthy rehabilitation.

A friend of mine saw a surgical scare on her knee. She was the only one who could put up a strong fight against the Japanese girl, Tomoka Miyazaki and the Thai girl, Pitchamon Opatniput. It is yet to be seen whether Yuan Anqi can bounce back from her two years of recuperation from her injury. Xu Wenjing and Huang Linran are behind the Japanese and Thai girl.. However China has other young girls coming up. Yin Yi Qin is one of them, only 15+. Another one is Sun Yifei, runners-up in the U15 category in the 2023 Asian Junior Championship. She lost a final that she could have won after missing a couple of sitters at the net. A tall girl with a powerful smash. Another lesser known girl is Tian Sirui (田思睿},age 14, about 5 ft 8 in height and training under Han Li. I don't know how good she is. I mention her because someone sent me a writeup introducing her.

Zzj is playing without using his attacking game. Looks like he is working on stroke play. He still needs to improve his defensive lobs. Once he achieves those skills he will be ready to take on his foreign opponens..
Lzh his opponent, is not good enough.

I agree the WS is not good. Physically the players are not strong and haven't got an attacking game.

Liu yang ming lu is very talented . His net play is executed confidently. I thought ZZJ was the best in that age group having seen him winning in Europe. I am so delighted to see another star in the making. Hope to see them tested overseas soon.
